If you're creating content for YouTube, having a consistent thumbnail design can make a huge difference in building your brand. In this video, I take you behind the scenes as I compare Microsoft 365 Copilot and ChatGPT to see which AI tool can help me create a reusable thumbnail template for my weekly Saturday Office Hours on Video Geek Squad.

I start by testing Microsoft 365 Copilot with a simple thumbnail design prompt and my Video Geek Squad logo. Along the way, I share what I liked, what frustrated me, and some of the limitations I encountered when trying to generate a specific image size. After reviewing several design concepts, I take one of the Copilot-generated images and bring it into ChatGPT to see how it compares.

What happened next surprised me. ChatGPT not only generated multiple professional-looking thumbnail concepts, but it also incorporated branding elements, scheduling information, and design enhancements that better matched the style and feel of my existing content. I walk through the revisions, discuss the final design decisions, and reveal the thumbnail template I'll be using for future Office Hours events.
